Executive Director of SEO/AEO

Job Description

TrendyMinds is a full-service digital marketing agency seeking an Executive Director of SEO/AEO to oversee their SEO/AEO service line. This leadership role reports to the Performance Marketing Lead and manages the practice's growth, business development, and team operations with significant independence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own and grow the SEO/AEO practice; drive business development and shape service offerings
- Deliver expertise across website migrations, site audits, content strategy, technical SEO, off-site strategy, reputation management, CRO, and reporting
- Serve as trusted advisor to clients; present strategies with clarity and lead reporting conversations
- Manage at least one direct report; allocate assignments, provide mentorship, and support professional development
- Champion AI tools across team workflows to improve quality, efficiency, and scale
- Guide the team through the evolving search landscape shaped by AI-driven discovery

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional SEO experience in agency environments
- Deep expertise across all core SEO/AEO disciplines
- Advanced working knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Peec AI, Looker Studio, and Microsoft Clarity
- Sophisticated understanding of AI's impact on search behavior and visibility
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with proven client relationship-building ability
- Team management experience with ability to balance hands-on delivery and team development
- Demonstrated comfort with AI tools in day-to-day workflows
